Did Iran hide uranium before the US’ air strike? Trump clears the air (video)

In a recent exclusive interview, former President Donald Trump addressed speculations surrounding Iran’s potential concealment of enriched uranium ahead of the U.S. airstrike targeting its facilities. The discussion, conducted by Maria Bartiromo, aimed to clarify claims that Iran might have moved significant quantities of uranium before the military action.

When asked if the Iranian regime had hidden any enriched uranium, Trump firmly dismissed the idea, stating, “No.” He elaborated on the logistical challenges involved in moving such heavy materials, emphasizing the operational difficulties and dangers associated with such an endeavor. “It’s very hard to do, it’s very dangerous to do,” he explained, reiterating the weight and cumbersome nature of the uranium.

Trump continued by highlighting the element of surprise in the airstrike, noting that Iran had little warning about the impending attack. “We didn’t give them much notice because they didn’t know we were coming until just, you know, then,” he said. This unexpected timing, according to Trump, negated the possibility of Iran effectively relocating any uranium to evade detection.

The former president’s comments came in response to reports suggesting that Iran might have moved approximately 400 kilograms (or about 800 pounds) of enriched uranium. However, Trump emphatically rejected these claims, insisting, “They didn’t move anything,” thereby asserting that the Iranian regime did not manage to execute any last-minute concealment of its nuclear material.

The discussion sheds light on the complexities surrounding Iran’s nuclear program and the actions taken by the U.S. in response to perceived threats. As tensions continue to simmer between the two nations, Trump’s insights provide a glimpse into the strategic considerations that underpinned the airstrike decision.

This interview is part of a broader narrative concerning U.S.-Iran relations and the ongoing debate over nuclear proliferation in the region. As the international community watches closely, the implications of Trump’s assertions may influence future diplomatic efforts and military strategies regarding Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
