Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed this Tuesday that Al Nassr has no contact or negotiations with Real Madrid striker Rodrygo. According to Romano, speculation about a possible transfer of the Brazilian to the Saudi club is nothing more than an unfounded rumor.
Romano stated: 🗣️ “There is no conversation or agreement between Rodrygo and Al Nassr. Rodrygo’s situation is similar to Martinelli’s,” the journalist emphasized on his social media.
Prior to this, Romano had already denied reports that Al Nassr was negotiating with Arsenal’s Martinelli. So Cristiano Ronaldo fans will have to wait for other reinforcements.
Rodrygo is currently a Real Madrid player, participating in the 2024 FIFA Club World Cup. However, the Brazilian striker’s future remains uncertain, as coach Xabi Alonso’s tactical scheme doesn’t offer much space for the number 11.
Despite rumors of dissatisfaction and the possibility of a departure, especially with Arsenal’s interest, Rodrygo completed another reasonable season, scoring 14 goals and providing 9 assists in 51 matches. However, his performance declined in 2025, following Real Madrid’s negative run, which ended the year without any titles and was eliminated by Barcelona five times, in addition to reaching the Champions League quarterfinals.
For now, any connection between Rodrygo and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr has been ruled out according to Fabrizio Romano.
