This would be a MAJOR issue for the US: Gen. Keane warns (video)

Retired four-star General Jack Keane, a senior strategic analyst for Fox News and former Army staff chief, has raised significant concerns regarding U.S. military preparedness in the face of evolving drone warfare. In a recent interview, Keane discussed the implications of supplying Ukraine with advanced weaponry, including long-range missiles capable of reaching Moscow.

During the conversation, Keane addressed the Biden administration’s stance on whether Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy should target military installations in Russia. He interpreted the president’s reluctance to endorse strikes on Moscow as a careful approach to a complex policy issue. Keane emphasized that while every weapon supplied to Ukraine is used defensively, Ukraine has a right to target legitimate military assets, including those in Russia that contribute to its invasion.

The discussion also touched on the role of retired U.S. Air Force pilots operating F-16s in Ukraine. Keane clarified that these pilots are primarily involved in defensive operations, helping to protect Ukrainian troops from aerial attacks. He underscored the importance of these aircraft in bolstering Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.

Furthermore, Keane highlighted the challenges posed by advanced Russian drones, which have become increasingly difficult to detect. He noted that while Russia has developed sophisticated drone technology, many drones remain vulnerable to electronic warfare tactics that disrupt communication between the operator and the drone itself. The rapid advancement of drone technology presents ongoing challenges for both sides in the conflict.

Keane stressed that counter-drone technology is a pressing issue for the United States, particularly in light of recent drone attacks on Russian bases. He warned that similar threats could emerge domestically, urging the U.S. to develop a comprehensive counter-drone strategy. Recently, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth approved initiatives to enhance the country’s drone defense capabilities, a move Keane views as essential for both national security and the protection of U.S. troops deployed abroad.

As drone warfare continues to evolve, Keane’s insights underscore the need for the U.S. to adapt its military strategies to counter emerging threats effectively. The complexity of the situation demands urgent attention to ensure the safety of U.S. infrastructure and personnel in an increasingly unpredictable global landscape.
