Kanye West Responds To Bhad Bhabie’s ‘Carnival’ Sample In Alabama Diss Track

Kanye West has publicly addressed the recent controversy surrounding Bhad Bhabie’s diss track that incorporates a sample from his song “Carnival.” The exchange comes amid a heated feud between Bhad Bhabie and Alabama Barker, the stepdaughter of reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian. In her track “Miss Whitman,” released on February 26, Bhad Bhabie accuses Alabama of stealing her boyfriend and baby daddy, Leon, while also making notable references to Alabama’s connections with the Kardashian family.

In response to the fallout from Bhad Bhabie’s song, Kanye took to social media to clarify his role in the ongoing conflict. He emphasized that he had no involvement in the back-and-forth drama, stating, “You know I’m not in the middle of none of this AI beef. People throwing my voice on things.” He expressed his surprise at being dragged into the situation, asserting, “I would never be in the middle. I don’t even know what’s going on.”

The rapper further explained the circumstances surrounding the approval of his sample. “I just got sent a song and asked if I could clear a sample,” he noted. His rationale for granting permission was rooted in his past difficulties with music clearances. “The whole Carnival sample…everything has been very difficult for me,” he added. To counteract the challenges he has faced, Kanye stated that he tends to approve requests when artists reach out to him.

Despite having reached out to Alabama Barker’s representatives following the release of the diss track, Kanye has not received a response. His comments underscore his desire to remain uninvolved in the personal disputes of others while still navigating the complexities of music sampling in the industry.

As the feud unfolds, fans are left to speculate on the potential ramifications within the celebrity sphere, particularly given the close ties between the Kardashian clan and the music industry. Kanye West’s stance highlights the blurred lines between artistic collaboration and personal conflict, reminding audiences that even high-profile artists can find themselves unwillingly entangled in drama.
