WOMAN WHO KILLED YOUNG SCOOTER ARRESTED FACING 10 YEARS (video)

A woman has been arrested in connection with the death of Atlanta-based rapper Young Scooter, whose real name is Kenneth Bailey. Demetria Spence, 31, is facing charges for allegedly making a false 911 call that led to a series of events culminating in the rapper’s death. The incident took place on March 28 at a residence on William NY Drive Southeast in Atlanta.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, Spence made a 911 call claiming that shots had been fired at the home and alleging domestic violence. During the call, she described a chaotic scene involving seven men, stating that a woman ran out of the house naked and that she witnessed a violent altercation. Spence’s assertions included claims of drug trafficking and a child being present in the home at the time of the incident.

When police arrived at the scene, however, they found no evidence of a shooting or the woman described in Spence’s call. Officers did encounter a male resident who opened the door and quickly shut it upon seeing them. Several men fled the residence during the police response. Young Scooter was among those who fled, reportedly sustaining significant injuries to his leg while attempting to escape. He was later found and transported to Grady Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner determined that Bailey died from a penetrating injury to his right thigh, which was not caused by a gunshot but rather from organic material, possibly from a wooden fence he encountered while fleeing. His death was ruled an accident.

In light of these developments, the Atlanta Police Department has offered a $5,000 reward for any anonymous tips related to the case. Meanwhile, Spence has been charged with transmitting a false public alarm, a felony that could result in imprisonment ranging from one to ten years if serious injury or death results from her actions.

This incident has sparked public intrigue and speculation, especially given the discrepancies in the 911 call and the subsequent police findings. As investigators continue to piece together the events leading to Young Scooter’s death, the community remains on edge. The case highlights the potential consequences of false emergency calls and the critical importance of accurate reporting in urgent situations.

Further developments are expected as the police continue their investigation and seek more information from the public. The impact of this tragic event resonates deeply within the Atlanta hip-hop community, where Young Scooter was known for his collaborations with prominent artists, including Future and Gucci Mane. As the case unfolds, it raises questions about accountability and the ripple effects of misinformation in high-stakes scenarios.
